Snowflakes

By Marcy Vonne’

If you’re from a warmer place, you better listen clear.

I think there is one small thing, I’m sure you ought to hear.

Here in Minnesota about this time of year.

It snows, it snows, it snows.

If you’re from Florida, I know that you would scream.

If you knew that when it’s cold and frozen is the stream.

Here in Minnesota, we always eat ice cream.

As it snows, it snows, it snows.

Chorus:  Snowflakes!!

              They’re small and they’re white,

and to see them’s quite a sight!

              Snowflakes!!

              They’re cold on your nose,

and they always freeze your toes!

              They collect in a mound,

as they fall to the ground,

but don’t even make a sound.

If you’re from California, and in the search for gold.

You better not come here unless you’re very, very bold.

Cause here in Minnesota, it’s very, very cold.

And it snows, it snows, it snows.

I think there is one last thing, I’m sure you want to know.

Like any other place the wind does also blow.

But here in Minnesota, the wind chill’s very low.

When it snows, it snow, it snows.

Chorus:
